Adrift

"Every element is so perfect that it left me shaking." - New York Observer. "..wonderfully realistic, a true story of a feat by a woman more Herculean than Capt. Bligh taking a longboat 2,000 miles. Exceptional performances, directed with good pace and beautiful cinematography and effects." - Tolucan Times

Shailene Woodley (THE DESCENDANTS, BIG LITTLE LIES) anchors ADRIFT, a tale of survival based on actual events from Baltasar Kormakur, the director of EVEREST.

Woodley is Tami Oldham, a talented young sailor and adventurer. Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair in the later HUNGER GAMES films) is Richard Sharp, a fellow sailor and Tami's beloved. The pair were sailing a friend's boat to California both as a favor and to push themselves. It's all smooth sailing for the couple…until a hurricane strikes.

The morning after, Tami awakens to a bad head injury and a boat on the verge of sinking. She manages to pull Richard from the sea, but he's in even worse shape than she is. And with their sail destroyed, they have no way to move. If they are to survive, Tami must summon all her wits, all her courage, and face the Pacific's wrath head on.
