“Where’d You Go, Bernadette is based upon the 2012 novel by Maria Semple. It follows the architect Bernadette Fox who goes missing. Bernadette, we find out, had a very successful career before getting married and having children, after which her career becomes an afterthought. Her disappearance is her chance to have a “second act” as an architect without the distractions of her old life. The story is narrated by Bernadette’s 15-year-old daughter, who attempts to track down her reclusive mother.” - The Hollywood Reporter
