Winston Duke & Zazie Beetz light up the big screen this Friday in the brand new indie film, Nine Days opening at the Original. Plus, British feel-good film, Dream Horse starts Friday, too!
It's always a great week with new movies to look forward to at the Princess, including this Friday's opening of Nine Days. This film was a huge hit at Sundance and has critics and audiences buzzing:
A man interviews five unborn souls to determine which one can be given life on Earth. "A life-affirming epiphany, 'Nine Days' is cinema of a higher calling, spiritual without denomination." - LA Times
If you're looking for a film to see this weekend for the whole family, may we suggest Dream Horse? This film is not just for horse lovers (although horse lovers will love it) but for anyone who roots for the underdogs in life. It's a feel-good film to warm up your heart, based on the true story of Dream Alliance (some of you may recall seeing the documentary Dark Horse, which we premiered in 2015).
"It's a story with all the hallmarks of a typically British feel-good movie in the tradition pioneered by the Ealing comedies of the post-WWII years when the country needed all the laughs it could raise." - Sydney Morning Herald

"A dark, glamourous, beautifully photographed and gorgeously eerie study of love and the death of love." - What She Said
Plus all this week at the Princess...
The First Nations film, Beans returns to the Twin for a handful of screenings. This film won Best Picture at the Canadian Screen Awards, it's a must-see.
Speaking of Canadian films, the animated classic, Heavy Metal is turning 40 this week and we have it on the big screen.
Plus, The Father & Roadrunner are held over and returning for more screenings this week. Both films are excellent, so why not grab some tickets. Last chance!
