Valerie Buhagiar is a Maltese-Canadian actor and filmmaker. She first gained prominence playing lead roles in Bruce McDonald’s “Highway 61” and “Roadkill.” Over the course of her career, she has appeared in many iconic TV shows and feature films. Buhagiar’s parallel career as an independent writer and director began in 1994 with “The Passion of Rita Camilleri.” Her short films and features have screened at festivals and venues worldwide, garnering awards and retrospectives.
