Films playing at the Original Oct 7-13
Our WORLD OF WONG KAR WAI series begins with Days of Being Wild in a new 4k Restoration!
Three shows: Oct 7 - 9!
With his lush and sensual visuals, pitch-perfect soundtracks, and soulful romanticism, Wong Kar Wai has established himself as one of the defining auteurs of contemporary cinema. The first film in a loosely connected, ongoing cycle, DAYS OF BEING WILD is a ravishing, existential, dreamlike drift through the Hong Kong of the 1960s in which a band of wayward 20-somethings pull together and push apart in a cycle of frustrated desire.
Included in this three-part series are IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE and CHUNGKING EXPRESS, to be shown in the coming weeks.
