Ontario is looking to lift the stay-at-home orders, so what does that mean for the cinema and the movie-going experience at the Princess? Let us break that down the best we can, in the simplest way. Keep in mind, just because we might be able to do some of these things, does not mean we will immediately.
That being said, this is what reopening at the cinema could look like moving forward...
Within The Next Few Days, Ontario Will Assign KW One of Five Colours Within Their Public Health Measures Framework For Reopening.
February 16th - Stay at Home Order Ends For KW.
Starting on the 16th, KW Will Be Assigned a Colour, Now If That Colour is...
Grey = Princess Stays Closed and Can Host Popcorn Pick-Up
Red = Princess Can Host Private Rentals (up to five people) and Popcorn Pick-Up
Orange = Princess Open For Screenings Up To 50 People
Yellow = Princess Open For Screenings Up To 50 People
Green = Princess Open For Screenings Up To 50 People
Nothing here is written in stone but we wanted to give you an idea of what to expect. This is normally our busiest time of the year, with back-to-back showings of sold-out Oscar-hopeful hits. We are crossing our fingers that Waterloo can get to Orange, so we can open NOMADLAND on March 19 as scheduled. Keep staying safe everyone, so we can reach that goal!

SPONSOR A SEAT TODAY! There are a lot of ways to support the Princess heading into 2021 and one of those ways is by sponsoring a seat at the Twin or Original! For $250, we'll put your name or dedication on a brass plaque, which we'll affix to a seat of your choice. The funds raised through this initiative will help us through the challenges faced because of COVID-19, and best of all, will go toward new and improved seating at the cinemas!
