A week at the Playhouse filled with music continues with another one-night-only screening of David Byrne's American Utopia. Spike Lee, David Byrne, Talking Heads... we're so in.

In a 9/10 review of the film, Uncut called it “a dazzling blend of greatest-hits show, avant-garde ballet and timely political statement” and “a glorious celebration of music as unifying force, joy as an act of resistance.

Also playing this week at the Playhouse...

We're digging into a few screenings of the 90s martial arts classic, the newly re-released Drunken Master II. This film is iconic Jackie Chan: funny, charismatic and unbelievable martial arts chops. See it on the big screen and be blown away!

Plus, if you haven't seen Respect, the Aretha Franklin movie or Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain... they both are held over and continue for screenings.
