FIRST, THE BIG NEWS! WE RE-OPEN ON MONDAY, JANUARY 31!

LICORICE PIZZA, THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH and NIGHTMARE ALLEY get us started, and then on Feb 4th we re-open the Original with the premiere of RED ROCKET (from Sean Baker, the director of the wonderful Florida Project). Other new films coming very soon include Oscar-contenders FLEE, DRIVE MY CAR and THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD. We have many more films booked, including another chance to see THE POWER OF THE DOG on the big screen.

Dear Friends of the Princess,

The last two years have been very hard on arts and culture. Cinemas are the first to be shut down and the last to re-open.

Over the years, many people have reached out to tell us what the Princess means to them, and we feel it, too. We have been at this for almost 37 years because we can't imagine Kitchener-Waterloo without the Princess! We believe strongly that an independent cinema like the Princess is so much more than just movies: it's community. The Princess wouldn't be here without the support of our community!

Hello Princess Friends,

Effective Jan 5, the Princess, along with all other movie theatres in Ontario, will have to close temporarily to help stem the tide of the Omicron variant.

We are disappointed but, hopefully when we are allowed to re-open, we can do so serving drinks and hot-buttered popcorn!

If you have a craving for popcorn, our Popcorn Take-Outs will be revived at the Twin. Every Friday and Saturday night, from 5pm to 8pm. Starts this Friday, January 8!

Effective Dec 19, the province has required all cinemas in Ontario to enact new health measures. For the foreseeable future:

We thank you in advance for adhering to these measures: you cannot bring your own snacks.
