We have a full slate of fantastic entertainment starting Good Friday. We have a family film, Mia and the White Lion (described as a cross between Boyhood --because it was filmed over several years-- and Wild Kingdom). The Invisibles is a gripping docudrama tracing the stories of four real-life Jews who learned to hide in plain sight in Nazi Germany. Don't miss Zhangke Jia's Ash is Purest White, a story of the underworld unlike anything you've seen before. Monty Python & the Holy Grail will have you laughing Friday night and on Saturday Harry Manx will have grooving.

This week two new thrillers premiere at the Playhouse. Canadian feature, Through Black Spruce, is directed by Don McKellar and is based on the Giller Prize-winning novel of the same name. Hotel Mumbai stars Dev Patel and Armie Hammer and is based on the Mumbai terror attacks of 2008. Both films will have you on the edge of your seats! In the documentary vein, we feature Carmine Street Guitars, a film about the iconic guitar-maker and Nothing Like a Dame, a film about four acting icons. For families this weekend we have Aquaman and also, Kubrick's biblical epic (yes, he made one!), Spartacus. "I am Spartacus!" Don't miss it!

This Friday we premiere the stone-cold amazing new survivalist thriller starring Mads Mikkelsen, ARCTIC. We love everything this Danish actor does and the reviews for it have been stellar. Another highly anticipated screening happening is THE ROOM with Greg Sestero (aka "Mark"/ author of The Disaster Artist) in attendance on Sat Mar 16. This event is SOLD OUT! Don't forget your spoons!
