A THOUSAND AND ONE follows unapologetic and free-spirited Inez (Teyana Taylor), who kidnaps six-year-old Terry from the foster care system. Holding onto their secret and each other, mother and son set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity, and stability, in a rapidly changing New York City.

Written and directed by Anthony Shim, RICEBOY SLEEPS is based in part on Shim's life growing up as an immigrant with a single mom in Canada. It was filmed in the Vancouver area, as well as Korea, and has been the recipient of numerous awards. The film was named to TIFF's annual year-end Top Ten List of Canadian Films for 2022.

While her actress sister, Abigail (Gloria DeHaven), roams with a stock theater company, country girl Jane (Judy Garland) stays home in rural Connecticut tending the family farm.
