There aren't very many movie treatments of Alice Munro out there (besides the often seen Away From Her), so we decided to dust off this unreleased gem to celebrate her recent Nobel Prize win.
Based on Munro’s series of short stories—collected together and released as a novel—the film revolves around the life and loves of Del Jordan. The original book is her most read work, and likely the best introduction to Munro’s work.
Shot in Pickering, Shelburne, and Toronto, this adaptation features many Canadian favourites like Tanya Allen, Wendy Crewson, and Dean McDermott, and was nominated for 4 Gemini awards. We are looking forward to seeing Kristen Wigg in Alice Monro's Loveship, coming to The Princess in 2014.
