Music is a theme this week at the Playhouse with the opening of the legendary 1950s concert film, Jazz on a Summer's Day. Shot in colour at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival, this film celebrates all things music through wonderful performances from Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Gerry Mulligan, Anita O'Day, Chuck Berry and Dinah Washington.
