The Playhouse re-opens on Tues. Feb 1!
...With THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH, HOUSE OF GUCCI and NIGHTMARE ALLEY.
On Feb 4th we premiere RED ROCKET (from Sean Baker, the director of the wonderful Florida Project).
Tragedy of Macbeth "It's one of the most visually striking and leanest versions of 'the Scottish play' ever put on film, with blockbuster performances from Oscar winners Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington." - Chicago Sun-Times
The House of Gucci "Gaga delivers a bravura performance as Patrizia, an alchemical blend of sheer charisma, power of personality, undeniable magnetism, and most importantly, commitment to the bit." - Tribune News Service
"Director Ridley Scott is not just at the height of his powers, he's breaking new ground. 4/4 stars." - San Francisco Chronicle
"Red Rocket isn't like any other movie you've seen this year. Expect the taste of pink sparkle doughnuts to linger." - Boston Globe
More big news: you can eat popcorn (and drink) in the cinema again!
This is a big deal and a positive step. Note that cinemas remain at 50% capacity (and our room is huge, well-ventilated and air-filtered). Cinemas are controlled, well-structured environments and our utmost goal is to keep our staff and patrons safe.
Please be reminded that when coming to see movies, you must show your enhanced vaccine certificate with scannable QR code (access it here), as well as a photo ID. Distancing remains in place, and masks must be worn at all times in the cinema (unless eating or drinking.)
See you at the movies and keep scrolling to see what's playing and what's coming soon!
WELCOME BACK!
